Ky M. Koch Mr. Koch is a life-long resident of Clearwater, graduating from Clearwater High School and later the University of Florida in 1975. Mr. Koch received his legal degree in 1978, and has been admitted to practice in Florida since that time.

In 1979, Mr. Koch was appointed an Assistant State Attorney for the Sixth Judicial Circuit of Florida, a position he held in excess of three years. Since that time, Mr. Koch has engaged in the private practice of law. Mr. Koch is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Florida, the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the United States Supreme Court; he has also represented clients in various parts of the United States. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar. Mr. Koch's practice is limited to Marital and Family Law. He is board certified by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Marital and Family Law and is a fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.

Mr Koch was President of the Clearwater Bar Association in 1987-1988, previously serving that organization on its Board of Directors, and as its Treasurer and its Secretary. He served as a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee from 1984 to 1987 and as its Chairman from 1986 to 1987. In 1989, Mr. Koch was elected to the Board of Governors of the Florida Bar (the governing body of the State's 60,000 lawyers). He served three consecutive 2 year terms. Mr. Koch is the Past President of the Florida Council of Bar Association Presidents and is the former Chairman of various Florida Bar Committees. He has served three consecutive terms as the Vice-Chairman of the Florida Bar's All Bar Conference and two consecutive terms on the Executive Committee of the Florida Bar.

Mr. Koch is a past Chairman of the Clearwater Bar Association Marital and Family Law Committee and is the former Chairman (1999-2000) of the Florida Bar Family Law Section.

Mr. Koch is a founding member and former President of the Executive Committee of the Canakaris Family Law Inn of Court, has lectured extensively for Continuing Legal Education programs, has Chaired the Florida Bar Family Law Section Ski Seminar and has Chaired the Family Law Section Arizona Seminar. He has also been an Adjunct Professor of Family Law at the St. Petersburg Junior College. He has been an invited Instructor of Domestic Relations and Litigation Practicum at Stetson College of Law.

Mr. Koch's community involvement has been extensive. He served as President of the Board of Directors of the Girls Clubs of Pinellas County, Chairman of various fund-raising activities for the Chi Chi Rodriguez Youth Foundation, on the Board of Directors of First Step, Inc., a graduate of Leadership Pinellas, and was a celebrity waiter in the American Heart Association fund raiser in St. Petersburg and was the Chairman of that event the following year. Ky has served two terms as the President of the Belleair Country Club.

Mr. Koch enjoys an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
