While attending law school, Ms. Hoffman interned with Middle District of Florida Federal Judge Elizabeth Kovachevich and the Office of the Public Defender for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County. She was also the recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for Trusts and Estates reflecting her achievement of the highest possible class mark. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Hoffman was appointed as an Assistant State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit in Clearwater, Florida. As an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Hoffman prosecuted in excess of 80 jury trials which included capital sexual batteries and murders. Additionally, Ms. Hoffman regularly served as a judge for law school mock trial competitions. After serving as an Assistant State Attorney, Ms. Hoffman was in-house counsel for Nationwide Insurance where she provided litigation feasibility analysis for claims in suit and trained claims personnel in the legal aspects of claims handling. Ms. Hoffman is a member of the Florida Bar, the Clearwater Bar Association and Canakaris Inn of Court. Ms. Hoffman, in addition to enjoying being a family law attorney, is the fortunate mother of two boys making her sensitive to the needs of parents.
